Jerky Direct is part of JD Premium in the Ball Enterprises
family of companies. Roger Ball, Chairman of the Board of Directors founded Jerky Direct in 2004 and introduced it to
the Ball family of companies at that time. A national launch to the public took place in early 2005.
In 1969, Roger
Ball created a company that went on to revolutionize the meat snacks industry with a soft, shelf stable product. That company
was King B Jerky, the third largest company of its kind in the world. In 1983, Mr. Ball co-founded a company in the Direct
Sales industry that has become one of the top five in the world with sales in excess of 750 million dollars a year.
In
2004, Mr. Ball took those two industries that he was passionate about, industries that he has lots of experience in and great
success with, eliminated all of the things that he considered negative, and started another company with just 10 products.
That company is Jerky Direct.
